Who we are

Rogue Automotive is a trading name of Ben Suffield, Unit 6D Southfield Mills, Morley, Leeds, LS27 0SB ("we", "us"). We're the controller of the personal information described here. Contact us about your information at hello@rogueautomotive.co.uk.

What we collect

  • Order details – your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, the registrations and plate designs you order, and your order history.
  • Documents for road-legal plates – a copy of your proof of entitlement to the registration (such as your V5C) and proof of identity (such as a driving licence or passport).
  • Payment – handled by Stripe. We don't see or store your full card details.
  • Technical information – basic information your browser sends when you visit (such as IP address and pages requested), kept in server logs for security. Your basket is saved in your own browser.

Why we use it

  • To make and deliver your order – necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • To check entitlement and identity for road-legal plates, and keep a record of the sale – required by law for registered number plate suppliers.
  • To contact you about your order – confirmations, questions about your documents and delivery updates.
  • To keep accounts and records – required by law.

We don't sell your information or use it for marketing without your consent.

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to run the business: Stripe (payments), our website host (stores orders securely), our email provider (order emails) and our delivery carrier (your name and address). We may also share information with the DVLA or the police where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Copies of your documents are deleted 30 days after your order is dispatched (or cancelled).
  • The record of a road-legal sale – your name and address, the registration and which documents we checked – is kept for 3 years, as the DVLA requires.
  • Order and accounting records are kept for 6 years.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it – email us and we'll respond within one month. Some information (such as the DVLA sale record) we must keep by law. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Security

Our website uses HTTPS. Orders and documents are stored on a private server that only we can access, and documents are only used to check your order.
