About hex number plates
Hex plates swap the usual rounded rectangle for angled corners that echo modern grilles and diffusers. The plate is cut to the length of your registration, with the characters sitting well clear of the angled ends so it reads cleanly.
Hex plates can be supplied road legal: the characters are full size and sit well over 11mm clear of every edge, and road-legal hex plates carry the BS AU 145e mark. Want custom spacing? Choose show plate in the builder.

Hex plate FAQs
Are hex number plates road legal?
Yes – our hex plates use full-size 79mm characters with more than the required 11mm clear space to every edge, and are made to BS AU 145e when ordered as road legal. You will need to provide your V5C and ID, like any road-legal plate.
Can I have 4D characters on a hex plate?
Yes. Choose 4D laser-cut acrylic lettering in the builder, in 3mm or 5mm.
Can I have a flipped hex plate?
Yes. Choose Flipped under Hex in the builder for the long corner cuts at the top – a popular look on the Lamborghini Urus. You can flip the front, the rear or both.
How long is a hex plate?
Hex plates are 111mm tall and cut to the length of your registration, keeping the same corner profile. A four-character registration is about 368mm long; a full seven-character registration can be longer than a standard 520mm plate, so check it fits your recess. The builder shows the exact size before you order.
